Meet the Bussell Team

Kenny Bussell is the Founder and President of Bussell Building, Inc. Kenny oversees all Bussell companies and plays an essential role in the guidance of these companies. Kenny has been in the building industry his entire life. He started Bussell Building in 1999 when he built his first home. Since then, he has been responsible for over 1500 homes in Southwest Missouri. Kenny is currently on the Board of Directors for the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Springfield. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Brook and their three dogs; Oscar, Molly, and Spike.

Tyler Bussell is the Vice-President of Bussell Building, Inc. Tyler is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Bussell companies. Tyler grew up around his father’s home building company, often going to work with Kenny as a young child.. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with family, going to the lake, & working out at his local CrossFit gym.

Jake Bebout is one of the Superintendents of Bussell Building, Inc. Jake oversees quality control at every step of the building process and is responsible for keeping things on track. He is from Ozark, MO and has also grown up around construction. He started working for Bussell Building in 2018 and has really enjoyed the opportunity. Working for Bussell Building has allowed him to further expand his knowledge of building. His favorite part is the fulfillment of seeing a project start to finish and in the end getting to present the new homeowner with exactly what they had in mind! When he’s not driving through a Bussell Building neighborhood making sure things are getting done, Jake enjoys watching all sports (especially football), smoking and grilling, hunting and fishing!

Brooke Bussell is the Co-Founder and Office Manager of Bussell Building, Inc. Brooke oversees all office and accounting activity for the Bussell companies. Brooke has a degree in accounting, and previously worked for a local real estate developer before devoting her full attention to Bussell Building. Brooke is an avid runner, and she enjoys spending time with her husband Kenny and cooking out with their three dogs.

Genie is the Sales Manager at Bussell Building and brings over a decade of experience in real estate. Throughout her career, she has worn many hats, including real estate agent, investor, and mentor. Genie’s passion lies in selling new construction homes, where she gets to help buyers turn their dream of owning a brand-new home into a reality. When she’s not working, Genie loves spending time with her husband and kids, cheering on her children in their extracurricular activities, trail riding in her Jeep, and soaking up time at the lake. Whether she’s exploring the outdoors or creating cherished memories with family and friends, Genie’s enthusiasm shines in everything she does.

Pepper Curtis is the Experience Specialist at Bussell Building, bringing a passion for interior design to every step of the home-building journey. From helping clients curate the perfect design selections to guiding them through the progress of their home during construction, Pepper thrives on creating an exceptional experience for each homeowner. Her favorite moment is seeing the excitement and joy on a homeowner’s face as they walk through their completed home for the very first time.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me outdoors with my family and our two Golden Doodles, hiking, traveling, or just enjoying time with loved ones.
