Representing Bussell Building on a National Stage

Two of our own—Jake Bebout, Project Manager, and Daniel Weaver, Purchasing Manager—traveled to the Summit to represent Bussell Building.

The event brought together builders from across the country who share a mission of improving lives through the homes they construct and the communities they impact.

“St. Jude’s hospitality was incredible,” said Jake Bebout, Project Manager for Bussell Building. “We listened to several sessions about the Dream Home builds, but the highlight was visiting the St. Jude campus. Touring the hospital and learning its history was powerful, and hearing from mothers who shared their children’s stories really put everything in perspective. St. Jude gives people so much hope—you can see it everywhere you go.”

Jake will be leading much of the day-to-day work on the 2026 Dream Home project as Bussell’s on-site Project Manager, ensuring every detail is handled with care.

What is the St. Jude Dream Home?

The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is one of the largest fundraising programs for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Across the country, builders donate their time and materials to build beautiful new homes that are raffled off to ticket holders. Each ticket purchased goes directly to St. Jude, helping fund life-saving research and treatment for children with cancer and other serious diseases.

Jake and Daniel connected with peers, explored innovative building practices, and discussed strategies to maximize the impact of the Dream Home Giveaway for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“After hearing the stories at the Summit about those children, everything we do leading up to this house feels like it’s part of something bigger,” Jake said. “It represents healing and the belief that we can give these kids a chance at a brighter future. Visiting St. Jude really fired me up for this opportunity—it reminded me why we build.”
